Lucy Rogers is a writer, artist and researcher. Since 2019, she is a PhD candidate with CREAM (Centre for Research in Arts and Education and Media) at the University of Westminster, where she is the recipient of a techne (AHRC) doctoral studentship. Lucy holds a MA in Photography Studies and Practice from the Folkwang University of the Arts, Essen, Germany and a BA in Fine Art from Byam Shaw School of Art, Central St Martins, London, UK. Since 2020, she is a Research Associate at CREAM.
RESEARCH INTERESTS
Lucy’s doctoral research primarily focuses on the archive of the German photographer, Ursula Schulz-Dornburg. In May 2023, she curated the exhibition, Ursula Schulz-Dornburg: Memoryscapes with the Large Glass gallery, London. Lucy has presented her research in international contexts and been the recipient of numerous grants and awards for both her academic research and own photography practice. She is also a contributor to the photography platform, C4 Journal.
