Santasil Mallik is a writer and visual artist pursuing his PhD in Media Studies from Western University, Ontario, after completing an M.A. and M.Phil. degree in English Literature from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. He is interested in mapping the transdisciplinary dialogues between documentary media practices in South Asia and historiographic questions concerning political violence. As a practitioner, he works with photography and video art to develop his creative research trajectory.
