VIVE LA RÉSISTANCE!

My audio-visual project “Vive la Résistance!”, which continues research from my previous work “SHIFTERS”, combines archival research, photo-collage work, interviews, soundtrack of original audio compositions, video essays, a publication (later on). My main focus is on retelling history, looking for animal point of view and creating another version of an archive (the archive as a model and source for my work but opening paths to new interpretations). I use methodology of appropriation while giving new meaning and contexts to collected existing imagery. At the core of this project is a question: how to talk about other-than-human animal resistance and agency? Inspired by thinkers like É. Baratay, D. Haraway, E. Cohn, J. Hribal, S. Colling, P. Singer, M. Bekoff, A. Jarzyna, J. Ullrich, M. Ullrich, I want to build an artistic response, which will investigate the animal defiances and refusals.
