Eline Benjaminsen b.1992 is a Norwegian Artist currently based in the Netherlands, Europe. Combining photography with video, print and text, Benjaminsen's recent work Where the money is made (2017) creates mixed media installations to examine the invisible architecture buoyant with the automatic algorithms of socio-economic markets that conduct high frequency trade routes operating faster than human capabilities.
Excavating lines of sight between ubiquitous transmitters and receivers, Benjaminsen reveals a series of mundane antennas located in-between streets, houses and roadsides as the material conductors of global capitalism. In documenting such infrastructure Benjaminsen highlights the increasingly obscure markets operating beyond human comprehension as a driver of intangible relations of power.
